School Preparation Programs

The Times Academy English for High School Preparation (ages 12-18) and English for Primary School Preparation (ages 7-12) are purpose-designed courses to prepare young people for success in the Australian School system.  Students learn the key learning areas, values and character development and the language skills required for successful academic entry and progression in Australian schools.

IELTS Test Preparation

This program is designed to provide students who are intending to sit for the IELTS examination with a demanding program of study. The program is designed to equip students with the strategies they need to realise their full potential and attain their desired IELTS score.   The IELTS course achieve the following outcomes:

English for Academic Purposes

The Times Academy’s  English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course is designed to prepare international students for study at the tertiary level in Australian institutions. It aims to equip students with a firm foundation in academic English and a set of study skills which will support them as they undertake university/tertiary courses.

Each of the three levels of EAP courses is 12 weeks in duration.  Upon completion of Times Academy’s  EAP course, students will be able to read and understand authentic academic texts, write reports and different essay types, understand lectures and presentations, participate in tutorials and group discussions, prepare and give presentations, possess effective study skills in note-taking, critical thinking and independent research skills among others.

Early Childhood Education and Care

This program is due to open in January 2018 and reflects on the role of workers in a range of Early childhood education settings.  These qualifications are nationally recognised qualifications and provide employment opportunities as early childhood educators, family day care educators, preschool assistants or in-home child educators.
